Anti-Woke billionaire Elon Musk calls it the Streisand effect. This comes after an initial attempt to censor the conservative online publication Daily Wire’s “What is a Woman” livestream on Twitter Space was foiled when the billionaire said, “This was a mistake by many people at Twitter.”
One would readily think that the mistake was the attempt to censor Daily Wire and conservatives following the appointment of Linda Yuccarino, a WEF (World Economic Forum) personality, as CEO of the platform.
After taking a second look at his tweet and its aftermath, one would realize that Musk might be referring critically to the unintended consequence of the censorship. It definitely backfired, and DW’s online event not only gained the attention of millions of users globally on the platform, but its blockbuster documentary by conservative commentator Matt Walsh, “What is a Woman,” also garnered tens of millions of views following the fiasco.

Thus, Mr. Musk’s “Streisand effect,” which is defined as an unintended consequence of attempts to hide, remove, or censor information, where it instead leads to increased awareness of that information.
“The controversy will drive viewership,” Musk said from the sidelines, as the suppression continued to gain the attention and backlash from millions of Twitter users worldwide.
Jeremy Boreing, CEO of DW, who initially described the attempt to quell their Twitter Space livestream as “a terrible day,” thanked Musk for retweeting their “What is a Woman” documentary, which had since become the most-watched full-length video on the platform.
“An insane 24 hours. Thanks to everyone who helped us stand up for free speech, and to Elon and Twitter for making it right. To celebrate, we’re keeping ‘What is a Woman’ on Twitter and free for the rest of the weekend so everyone can enjoy the Streisand Effect,” said Boreing.
Following Musk’s retweet, which is worth a million-dollar endorsement, saying “every parent should watch this,” to his 141.9 million (as of this writing) followers, the controversial documentary deemed “transphobic” by radical trans and liberals in the West has been viewed 80.4 million times after 24 hours since its posting.
Musk then posted another tweet saying, “Consenting adults should do whatever makes them happy, provided it does not harm others, but a child is not capable of consent, which is why we have laws protecting minors.”
Indeed, the initial attempt to censor speech was a mistake made by many people at Twitter.
In response to a DW tweet mocking CNN for calling the documentary an “anti-trans documentary” that could be “potentially harmful content,” Musk replied in jest, “I’m tempted to say that this will drive viewership of your movie, but… no one watches CNN lol.”
Walsh, who created the controversial documentary to expose the anti-science and cultist mindset of Western and American liberals and democrats, called the backlash and its aftermath “a huge win.”
“It’s been a wild 24 hours. It began with Twitter labeling our film hate speech and completely suppressing it, and ends with all suppression lifted and Elon Musk himself tweeting out the film and urging people to watch it. A huge win,” said Walsh.
Ben Shapiro also made the following statement: “Thanks, @elonmusk! Overnight, visibility limits on the movie have been removed. Elon continues to work to make good on his pledge to keep Twitter an open platform!”
Meanwhile, a number of high-profile conservative and ideologically independent personalities like Dr. Jordan Peterson condemned the suppression of DW’s livestream.
“Who is in control at Twitter?” Peterson asked. “The problem is no one seems to know… This is actually worse than outright suppression. Why? Because it’s not comprehensible.”
“It appears that some of the visibility limitations on @realdailywire’s post of ‘What Is A Woman?’ have now been removed. Please spread the link FAR and WIDE — and let us know if there are still restrictions on its sharing or whether you can see it!” Shapiro also said.
Content creator Nuance Bro, who is not considered politically outspoken, joined the backlash by tweeting, “What Is A Woman? Resharing due to censorship. Time to Streisand Effect this.”
Twitter personality and book author Oli London also chimed in, tweeting: “Despite Twitter censoring @MattWalshBlog’s ‘What is a Woman’ @realDailyWire documentary this evening and Elon issuing several tweets adding to the confusion, he has now tweeted that the censorship will create ‘The Streisand Effect.’ The Streisand effect is an unintended consequence of attempts to hide, remove, or censor information, where it instead leads to increased awareness of that information.”
