In a recent Substack post by renowned health expert Dr. Joseph Mercola, a disturbing tale of politically-motivated targeting has come to light. The post sheds light on the challenges faced by Amelia Legaspi, Chief Financial Officer of Mercola Company, and her husband’s healthcare ordeal in the Philippines. The story highlights the implications of questioning the Biden administration and America’s COVID-19 narrative.
According to Dr. Mercola’s post, on July 27, 2023, JP Morgan Chase Bank abruptly closed all of their business and personal accounts, including those of Amelia Legaspi’s CEO and her family. The reason given was “unexpected activity” on an unspecified account. Amelia’s son’s account, used for college expenses, was also cancelled.
“This is what the new social credit system looks like, and what every soul on the planet can expect from the central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) that are being rolled out. Go against the prevailing narrative of the day, and your financial life will be deleted with the push of a button,” Dr. Mercola, a strong critic of American democrats’ pandemic and mandatory Covid vaccine policies, wrote in his Substack account.
Dr. Mercola believes the account closures were politically motivated due to his opinions on COVID-19. He co-authored the best-selling book “The Truth About COVID-19,” which explored the possibility of the virus being engineered in a laboratory funded by the NIH. The closure of the accounts has left Amelia Legaspi struggling to figure out how to pay for her bedridden husband’s healthcare in the Philippines. He suffers from dementia and depends on her financial support.
“I believe they cancelled all of the accounts because of Dr. Mercola’s (our employer) opinions. He has carried a contradictory view throughout the COVID narrative and co-authored the best-selling book ‘The Truth About COVID-19,’ which exposed the likelihood that this virus was engineered in a laboratory funded by the NIH,” Legaspi told Florida’s Voice.
The situation has raised concerns about freedom of speech and expression, drawing parallels with China’s social credit system. Dr. Mercola’s post emphasizes the implications of going against the prevailing COVID-19 narrative and how it can result in retaliatory financial actions.
It’s worth noting that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had signed legislation prohibiting financial institutions from denying or cancelling services based on political or religious beliefs. However, Chase Bank’s refusal to cite a specific reason for the account cancellations has left critics questioning their actions.
As Amelia Legaspi perseveres through this trying time, her story serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by those who question prevailing beliefs. The need for greater protection and accountability to safeguard individual liberties has become more apparent than ever.
