The Saga Continues: Orion Perez Dumdum’s Facebook Report-Takedown Contest Gets Extended

One name continues to stir controversy in the farthest reaches of the cyberworld – Orion Perez Dumdum. Known for his controversial antics and provocative statements, Dumdum has been at the center of an escalating online tiff with a Singaporean netizen, Serene Ho.

What’s all the fuss about, you ask? Well, it’s a tale of report-takedowns or mass reporting, suspicious contests, and a dash of cyber drama.

Dumdum, often referred to as a “clout-chaser,” launched a bizarre competition over a month ago. The challenge was simple – netizens were tasked with reporting and taking down the posts of his online nemesis, Serene Ho. The catch? Dumdum promised cash rewards for the most effective report-takedowns.

The prizes were enticing, with P10,000 up for grabs for the top spot, P7,000 for the runner-up, and P3,000 for the third-place contender.

Plus: “Additional ₱1K to each of the 1-3 place winners and an additional 4th place winner will get ₱2K,” Dumdum announced.

It was a tempting offer for anyone looking to score some quick cash while engaging in a digital showdown.

The contest was originally set to conclude on August 31, just four days ago. However, as with most online sagas, things took an unexpected turn. Dumdum, in a surprising move, decided to extend the competition until the end of September. The change in terms and conditions left many wondering about the true intentions behind the contest.

Serene Ho, the target of Dumdum’s report-takedown campaign, didn’t hold back in expressing her skepticism.

“Just keep extending the date of the incorrect ‘contest’ if there is no intention to pay the reward. Brainless 66K will lap up that trash,” Ho posted on Facebook, highlighting the apparent flaws in Dumdum’s competition mechanism.

Dumdum’s campaign of cyberbullying takedowns appeared to have succeeded, as Ms. Ho reached out to The Daily Netizen, informing us that her primary Facebook account had been disabled.

One cannot help but wonder if this extension is simply a clever ploy to avoid awarding the promised prizes. It’s a classic case of “the plot thickens” in the world of online feuds, where the lines between genuine competition and digital drama often blur.

The clash between Ho and Dumdum initially ignited when the latter, a vocal advocate for a parliamentary system in the Philippines, publicly attacked Ho for a Facebook post concerning Zoey Gabriel, a Filipino content creator who had recently become a brand ambassador for Charles and Keith.

As their online quarrel escalated, it took a personal turn. Social media posts from both parties showcased a heated exchange of words, with some of Dumdum’s supporters even resorting to posting online threats against Ho. The dispute quickly spiraled into an unsavory display of cyberbullying and online harassment.

As the extended contest deadline looms, the online community watches with bated breath to see how this digital drama will unfold.

Will anyone claim the coveted cash rewards, or is this just another chapter in the ongoing feud between Orion Perez Dumdum and Serene Ho? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – the world of online conflicts is as unpredictable as ever.
