Toy Collector Yexel Sebastian Accused in P200-M Investment Scam Targeting OFWs

Yexel Sebastian, a toy collector and former member of the 90s dance group Streetboys, finds himself embroiled in controversy as he faces accusations of luring Filipinos, particularly overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), into a questionable investment scheme.

A growing number of OFWs have come forward, expressing their grievances that the promised investment returns offered by Sebastian have failed to materialize, leaving them in financial limbo.

Complaints about Sebastian and his wife, Mikee Agustin, and their investment scheme have escalated, eventually catching the attention of the public affairs show, Raffy Tulfo in Action.

Investors have expressed frustration as the promised payouts remain delayed, stretching for two months and counting.

It is estimated that the couple has allegedly amassed a staggering P200 million from soliciting illegal investments, alluring the public with the promise of doubling their money within a year.

The issue has gained significant traction on social media, with a post on Scam Alert Philippines Facebook page rapidly going viral, exposing the alleged misconduct of Sebastian and Agustin.

The post reads, “YEXEL SEBASTIAN & MIKEE AGUSTIN INVESTMENT SCAM INIREKLAMO NA NG MGA INVESTORS | 200 MILYON SCAM. Panibagong celebrity na naman ang involve sa investment scam ang blocked at unfriend ang mga investors na 2 months nang delay ang pay-out.”

The post includes a video featuring a woman who claimed to have fallen victim to the alleged investment scam orchestrated by the couple.

She recounted that the couple had blocked them on all social media platforms, making communication impossible.

In the video, she expressed her distress, saying, “Wala po akong masamang sinasabi about sa kanila. Ang gusto lang po namin ay makausap naming mga kapitalista si Mikee and Yexel. Kasi nagtiwala kami sa kanila. 100% tiwalang ibinigay namin sa kanila.”
