Yexel Sebastian, a former dancer turned alleged investment scammer, finds himself in hot water once again.

This time, it’s not just his financial dealings that are under scrutiny, but also his claims of being a bona fide toy collector.

Sebastian is facing criticism and accusations of deceiving the public and toy enthusiasts worldwide with his purported ownership of rare toy collections. His Wikipedia entry states that he claims to own the ‘largest Optimus Prime bust in Asia.

Sebastian, who has recently been entangled in allegations of scamming hundreds of investors, most of whom are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), was exposed online for his questionable claims regarding rare toys he allegedly possessed.

The revelation came courtesy of a Facebook user named Dindin Hasizume, who took to social media to shed light on Sebastian’s alleged deceit.

In a now-viral post that garnered over 8,000 reactions and 2,000 comments, Hasizume unveiled a startling revelation. She claimed that some of the toys Sebastian had proudly showcased during a TV interview with GMA talent Ivan Mayrina were not his own; they were, in fact, borrowed from her father.

Notably, The Daily Netizen attempted to verify this TV interview between Mayrina and Sebastian but found no online posts or interviews available.

“FIRST INTERVIEW MO SA TV Yexel Sebastian. Sabi mo sa TV interviewer, kay Ivan Mirina na galing sa Japan yang mga Robots na yan,” Hasizume pointed out in her post, underlining the alleged deceit.

“GAWA NG LOLO KO YAN, Na hiniram mo sabi mo ibabalik mo din pero ginamit mo sa interview. Yang mga Halfbust na Superhero Na nasa likod mo, Sabi mo sayo yan, HINIRAM MO YAN SA TATAY KO. Hindi sayo yan, pero claim mo sayo,” she added, casting doubt on Sebastian’s credibility as a toy collector.

Hasizume addressed the timing of her revelation, explaining, “Sa mga nagtatanong ‘bakit ngayon lang to pinost.’ Bakit ganyan ganyan, If you’re going to stalk me, I actually posted a lot of things about this matter, even before pa, even nung 2015 pa, i also made a lot of tiktok videos about sa matter na ito, sadyang ngayon lang din napansin, wag na natin tanungin bakit ngayon lang umingay, malamang kita naman natin kung bakit ngayon lang pumutok.”

The online community quickly weighed in on the issue, condemning Sebastian for his actions.

“Scammer talaga yan from the beginning,” one netizen commented.

Another netizen brought politics into the discussion, stating, “What do you guys expect from a BBM supporter??? Lmao.” The reference was made to President Bongbong Marcos, as Sebastian is a known supporter.

However, some netizens remained skeptical, suggesting that there might have been an agreement between Yexel and Hasizume’s father that she was unaware of.

“Alamin muna ang napagkasunduan. Baka pinahiram para ma-promote naman ang business kasi during those times nakilala talaga ang museum ni Yexel. Syempre magiging interesado mga tao kung sino may gawa. Sort of advertisement. Or else bakit naman ipapahiram sa kanya. Yan tong tinatawag na ex-deal,” one netizen said.

In response, Hasizume implied that her father was hoodwinked by Yexel into letting him borrow the collections.

She posted, “Wag moko pangaralan sa ganyan, UNA, Kinuha ang tiwala. Kung ikaw matino kang tao. Pinagkatiwalaan ka sa isang bagay, bakit sobrang gago mo para manggamit ng tao, Pangalawa, Ang usapan ay magtatayo ng museum. Nanay ko ang manager. Tatay ko taga-ukit. Eh bakit SARILING MUSEUM ang pinakilala niya madla, sakim? Makasarili? Saan sa pagpipilian?”

Another Facebook user added, “Di lang sa investment scamming magaling pati na din sa pang-aakin ng hindi kanya magaling ka din Yexel, kung hindi pa ipapatulfo di sya magsasalita sa mga investor na nagmamakaawa na na mabalik mga pera nila.”

Sebastian’s credibility as a toy collector is now in question, further complicating his legal troubles and public image. As the allegations continue to circulate, the truth behind these claims remains uncertain.
