A woman who claims to have been the lover of the legendary Filipino rapper Francis Magalona has come forward to reveal her past relationship with the Master Rapper on a popular YouTube channel.
The rumors about a possible affair involving Francis Magalona had initially surfaced approximately 14 years ago, making their way into the public’s attention.
However, it wasn’t until more than a decade after the rapper’s passing that this mistress, Abegail Rait, decided to share her story, accompanied by her daughter, Gaile Francheska, and some compelling evidence of their secret affairs.
Abegail Rait, who had remained silent about her relationship with Francis M for the past 15 years, made her first public appearance on the Pinoy Pawnstars program.
She brought along a jersey that Francis allegedly wore—an early premonition, as she believes, of his impending departure.
Additionally, Abegail revealed signed notes from the Master Rapper, where he affectionately referred to her as “hon.”
It was in 2007 that she gave birth to their child, a daughter who bears the name Gail Francheska, with Francis M himself choosing the name.
Sharing the backstory, Abegail, who worked as a flight attendant, recounted how Francis initiated contact after spotting her watching the popular show “Eat Bulaga.”
Francis went out of his way to acquire her number, leading to the blossoming of their relationship and the eventual birth of their 15-year-old child.
Emotionally, Abegail stated, “Hindi naman ako nagsalita ‘e. I know people will judge me, but we exist. What we had is real.”
She added, “For fifteen years, I kept silent. I guess this is the only thing I can do for him,” referring to their daughter, Gail Francheska.
Francis Michael Durango Magalona, widely recognized as Francis M, was a prominent Filipino rapper, singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, actor, and television personality, often regarded as a pillar of the Pinoy hip-hop industry.
He is also known as the father of showbiz personalities Maxene Magalona and Elmo Magalona.
Tragically, in March 2009, Francis M lost his battle with leukemia.
Notably, Francis M was a part of the popular show “Eat Bulaga,” where he is believed to have met Abegail. The program had also broadcast his passing, temporarily suspending regular activities to offer prayers in his memory.
Recent revelations about this long-kept secret have stirred diverse reactions among netizens.
Many, especially younger fans, expressed shock upon learning of the rapper’s mistress and daughter. However, public opinion remains divided, with some condemning the rapper for engaging in an affair during his battle with cancer.
One netizen, Kim Taeyeon, posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Proud kabet ung nanay nung bata at walang issue na ipost to sa socmedia. Sana tumahimik na lang sila as respect sa wife and legitimate kids ni Francis M.”
Another netizen commented, “Nakakatawa lang kasi na parang pavictim pa si Ate gurl na kabit??? Na ang tagal daw nyang nanahimik??? Malamang may pamilya teh.”
Conversely, a user pointed out, “Bilib ako kay Pia Magalona kung ganon. She protected the name of her husband all these years. So may cancer na si Francis M noong may nangyari sa kanila? He was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 and 15 years ago is 2008? Nakakaloka ang pasabog.”
