Senior Hamas Terror Official Calls for Israel’s ‘Annihilation,’ Defies Ceasefire Calls

A senior Hamas official has declared for the “annihilation” of Israel and pledged to replicate the devastating attacks of October 7, openly defying appeals for a ceasefire.

Ghazi Hamad, the former Foreign Minister of the terrorist group, declared, “Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country.”

His provocative remarks have drawn swift international condemnation, with British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly taking to Twitter to ask, “How can there be peace when Hamas is committed to the eradication of Israel?”

Despite numerous calls for a ceasefire from Western governments and Israel’s critics, Hamas remains resolute in its determination to continue the conflict and promote a message of hostility toward Israel.

The statement from Hamad is a stark rejection of the United Nations’ and many other countries’ calls for peace, underscoring Hamas’s refusal to consider a halt to hostilities, the UK Daily Mail reported.

In a televised interview on Lebanese TV, when asked if this meant the annihilation of Israel, Hamad replied, “Yes, of course. The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears… and must be finished.”

He also emphasized that “Israel must be taught a lesson” and proclaimed, “We will do this again and again. We are the victims of the occupation. Nobody should blame us for the things we do… everything we do is justified.”

Hamad’s recent remarks echo similar statements he made in 2006, describing Israel as a “cancer” that should be “wiped from the face of the earth.”

This new interview on LBCI is likely to further strengthen Israel’s resolve, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledging to continue the fight “until victory.”

During his address, Netanyahu paid tribute to the 16 soldiers who had lost their lives since the ground war began and reassured the nation, stating, “We know that each of our soldiers is a whole world.

The entire nation of Israel embraces you, the families, from the bottom of our hearts. We are all with you in your time of great sorrow. Our soldiers fell in an unjust war, the war for our home. I promise you citizens of Israel: we will complete the job. We will continue until victory.”

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed they have targeted over 11,000 locations in Gaza since the conflict with Hamas commenced.

This staggering figure translates to an average of 78 missiles, airstrikes, or artillery shells striking every square mile of the densely populated enclave, comparable in size to the Isle of Wight.

The announcement followed a deadly airstrike on the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, which Hamas claims resulted in the death of “dozens” of men, women, and children.

The terrorist group also asserted that seven of the 240 hostages seized in the October 7 attacks on Israel perished in the bombing.

Reports indicate that a new wave of airstrikes hit the same refugee camp the following day, inflicting further death and destruction.

Al-Jazeera television, still reporting from northern Gaza, aired distressing videos of devastation and injured individuals, including children, being transported to nearby hospitals.

Israel defended its actions, stating that they targeted senior Hamas military leader Ibrahim Biari, along with his command center and an underground tunnel network, and engaged with dozens of other fighters in the process.
