Duterte Allegedly Plotted Ex-Senator Trillanes’ Assassination; Bong Go Implicated in DDS Killings

In a shocking revelation, former Senator Antonio Trillanes has shared a harrowing tale of a sinister plot orchestrated by former President Rodrigo Duterte to assassinate him in a staged car accident.

The details emerged from the affidavit of Arturo Lascañas, a former leader of the Davao Death Squad (DDS), who claims to have been a witness to the chilling plan.

Trillanes disseminated the story, as reported by Rappler, on X (formerly Twitter), leaving the netizens in disbelief.

In his 186-page affidavit accepted by the ICC (International Court of Justice), Lascañas claimed that, in October 2016, he received an urgent request to devise a plan to kill Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.

The alleged plan involved smashing Trillanes’ vehicle using a 20-wheeler container truck, making the killing appear as a vehicular accident.

“The plan was to smash – break into pieces – the vehicle of Senator Trillanes using a 20-wheeler container truck. The killing would appear to be an ordinary vehicular accident with an extraordinary victim, an incumbent senator of the Republic of the Philippines,” Lascañas stated in his affidavit.

Shockingly, Lascañas asserted that Duterte approved the plan with “unlimited funding,” and Go facilitated the logistics.

The narrative unfolds a dark chapter in Duterte’s reign, alleging a carefully orchestrated campaign of violence and death against perceived threats to his regime.

“RODRIGO DUTERTE IS THE LORD OF ALL DRUG LORDS!!!” rillanes posted on X in connection with the revelations against the ex-president.

Lascañas, currently in undisclosed overseas location and the key witness in the case, provided a detailed account of the horrific operations conducted by the Davao Death Squad (DDS) during Rodrigo Duterte’s tenure as the mayor of Davao City.

His damning affidavit, now in the possession of the ICC, paints a vivid picture of the alleged crimes against humanity committed under Duterte’s command.

One of the most alarming aspects of the affidavit is the recurring presence of now Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, a loyal aide to Duterte and his special assistant.

Lascañas claims that Go played a pivotal role in conveying orders to the police, organizing death squads, and even giving direct killing orders.

The affidavit alleges that Go, under Duterte’s directives, was involved in the creation of the Heinous Crime Task Group Office in 2001, tasked with organizing death squads to eliminate alleged drug users and pushers in Davao City.

The intricate details provided by Lascañas shed light on the hierarchical structure of these death squads, with Duterte, SPO4 Sonny Buenaventura, and Go issuing final orders of execution.

Disturbingly, the affidavit contends that Go evolved from a messenger to directly giving killing orders himself.

One chilling account involves a mall businessman’s driver, where Go allegedly advised the DDS to abduct and investigate the driver-bodyguard under duress to reveal the whereabouts of his missing wife.

Lascañas, haunted by guilt, ultimately chose to expose the sinister plot instead of carrying it out.

In January 2017, he flew to Manila to publicly reveal Duterte’s alleged evil plan, seeking redemption for his involvement in the DDS.

As the ICC takes possession of Lascañas’ affidavit, questions loom over whether justice will be served. The names implicated in the document, from Duterte to his loyal lieutenants, have never faced investigation in Philippine courts.

The pressing question now arises: Will Bong Go be part of the ICC charge? The world awaits answers, demanding accountability for the heinous crimes detailed in Lascañas’ chilling testimony.
