Aga Muhlach Opens Up About Parenting and the Twins’ Journey into Showbiz, as the Muhlach Family Gears Up for Their Own TV5 Sitcom

Veteran actor Aga Muhlach, in a recent interview, has shared his parenting philosophy regarding his 22-year-old twins, Atasha and Andres, who are navigating their way into showbiz.

The actor and his wife, Charlene Gonzalez, have been supportive of their children’s pursuits, with Atasha already making waves as part of the cast of the noontime show “E.A.T.” since September 2023, according to a report by Smart Parenting.

Meanwhile, Andres is gearing up for his own show on TV5, joining the family’s foray into sitcoms.

Aga emphasizes his approach to parenting, stating, “Growing up, sinabi ko naman yun. Never judge, really, it’s really up to them kung sino yung magugustuhan nila talaga.”

This sentiment echoes his commitment to letting his children make their own choices when it comes to matters of the heart.

While Aga refrains from meddling in his children’s love lives, he acknowledges his role as a guide.

He draws from his own aversion to interference during his upbringing, noting, “Hindi naman ako mangingielam, hindi naman ako nangingielam, but of course, you are really just there to guide them.”

He shares insights into his parenting style, explaining that although they don’t extensively discuss their children’s love lives, he provides advice based on his own experiences.

“But when they ask me questions, of course, I just talk about my experience growing up.”

Aga firmly believes in allowing his children to decide for themselves, stating, “[But] I always tell them, at the end of the day, whatever we say naman, you know, guidance niyo lang naman yun, hindi niyo rin naman kami susundin. Parang gagawin niyo rin yung sarili niyong desisyon.”

The Muhlach family is set to make a notable return to the small screen, with Aga, Charlene, Atasha, and Andres reportedly starring in a sitcom on TV5.

This marks the first time in years that Charlene and Aga will share the screen, their last joint appearance being in the ’90s sitcom “Oki Doki Doc.”

Fans of the Muhlach twins are eager to witness their on-screen chemistry in the upcoming sitcom, marking a significant moment in the family’s entertainment legacy.

Atasha, having already made her mark on “E.A.T.” as a host, is set to shine alongside her family in this new television venture.
