From ‘Appointed Son of God’ to ‘Living Dead’: Apollo Quiboloy in Hiding, Alleges PBBM and FL Liza Conspiring with CIA, FBI to Have Him Assassinated

Staunch Duterte ally Apollo Quiboloy, who identifies himself as “the appointed son of God,” has hinted at being in hiding following the Senate’s confirmation of a subpoena for his appearance in the next hearing.

The religious leader released an official statement through SMNI, revealing that he initially planned a press conference but opted for an audio statement due to what he deemed a “danger to my life.”

Quiboloy vehemently denied rape allegations and asserted that the 43 cases filed against him and his organization in the US were entirely fabricated.

Interestingly, he expressed readiness for extradition at any time.

However, the alleged cult leader took a startling turn by making claims, without evidence, that President Bongbong Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos are colluding with the CIA, FBI, State Department, and US Embassy, pushing for his “rendition.”

Quiboloy explained that, in his understanding, rendition could result in either his “kidnapping” or “assassination,” citing these details from what he referred to as “credible sources.”

The 73-year-old pastor, wanted by the United States government on charges of sex trafficking and fraud, has reportedly gone underground, fearing for his life.

In a released audio recording, Quiboloy labeled himself a “living dead” and accused the United States, allegedly in collusion with the Marcos administration, of orchestrating a plot to eliminate him. He contended that the US plans to pursue him through “rendition,” which he interpreted as equivalent to a death sentence.

“Rendition means they can enter my compound at any time and kidnap me. It’s not only rendition, but also elimination. If it is possible, they can assassinate me,” he stated in Filipino, referencing information from his claimed “reliable sources.”

Despite expressing readiness to face charges in court, Quiboloy decried what he perceived as blatant attempts to curtail his rights.

He further alleged being under constant surveillance by US security agencies such as the CIA and FBI, forcing him and other church officials to seek refuge in undisclosed locations.

Quiboloy emphasized the gravity of the situation, saying, “My life is in danger. I can be kidnapped anytime if my lair will be found out, my hideout. They can kill me anytime.”

A US federal warrant has been issued for Quiboloy’s arrest, with allegations ranging from sex trafficking and child sex trafficking to money laundering and federal fraud. His assets have been frozen, and he is currently on the FBI’s most wanted list.

In a defiant stance towards the end of the recording, Quiboloy rallied supporters against what he termed “evil” forces seeking to destroy him, stating, “If we will not stand now, my countrymen because I am now a living dead, my life is irrelevant, I will offer this for the country, the Philippines, I will lead so that we can once again have freedom.”

This statement comes after weeks of silence, following subpoenas from both the Senate and House inquiries compelling Quiboloy to attend separate hearings. He claimed a desire for a press conference but cited the danger to his life as a reason for the current unavailability.

Additionally, Quiboloy addressed President Marcos directly, urging him to resign, stating, ‘No longer worthy to be our trusted leader.’ The situation continues to unfold as questions surrounding Quiboloy’s alleged actions and his unexpected disappearance raise public interest.
