Trump Fires Back at Latest Hoax: Calls Liz Cheney a ‘Warhawk’; Bill Maher to MSM: “Don’t Lie to Me”

The American liberal media has come under scrutiny following GOP contender Donald Trump’s recent town hall interview with Tucker Carlson, during which he criticized former Rep. Liz Cheney for her hawkish stance on military interventions.

Trump’s remarks posed a rhetorical question, asking how Cheney would feel if she faced the same dangers as American soldiers sent to war.

However, the media’s response was swift and accusatory. Politico published a headline suggesting Trump called for violence, reading, “Trump Suggests Nine Barrels Shooting at Cheney.”

The Washington Post, owned by Jeff Bezos, echoed this sentiment with its headline: “Trump Embraces Violent Rhetoric, Suggests Liz Cheney Should Have Guns ‘Trained on Her.’”

While a CNN columnist later issued a retraction, many liberal media figures and Democratic operatives continued to push the narrative, painting Trump’s comments as an incitement to violence.

In an unexpected turn, liberal commentator Bill Maher criticized the misleading portrayal, calling it a “hoax.” Maher, known for his critical stance on Trump, defended accuracy in media coverage.

“I don’t like Donald Trump. But don’t lie to me and tell me he wants her [Liz Cheney] in front of a firing squad,” Maher stated. He clarified that Trump was emphasizing Cheney’s identity as a “radical war hawk” and challenging her to understand the stakes that soldiers face in conflict zones.
