Benguet — President Bongbong Marcos minced no words as he blasted the ₱273.93-million Kennon Road rock shed project, describing it as “useless” and a “complete zero.”
The 152-meter structure, supposedly finished in April 2025 under the 2022 infrastructure program, crumbled under Typhoon Emong—failing to stop landslides and leaving parts of Kennon Road damaged and closed.
What’s worse: repairs may now balloon to over ₱500 million, nearly double the original cost.
Marcos fumed: “How can you say this is not economic sabotage?”
